While NO system or company can guarantee you a 100% “Dust Free” work environment there are ways to limit the dust and debris that naturally comes with hardwood floors. As you probably guessed installing, sanding or refinishing hardwood floors can be a "dusty" endeavor. Not only is dust not good for your household's overall appearance, dust can also cause serious health problems in the human body.

Dust containment is important for aesthetic reasons but dust also carries with it potential health concerns. Wood dust becomes a possible health problem when wood particles from processes such as sanding and cutting become airborne. Breathing these particles may cause allergic respiratory symptoms and non-allergic respiratory symptoms. While we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality hardwood floor service possible, we don't compromise when it comes to both our customer's and employee's health. That’s why here at Dickinson Hardwood Flooring we do everything in our power to ensure that you receive the best finished product possible by limiting the amount of dust and debris we produce in your home.

Currently we use Clarke American Sander’s Dust Control System. With standard H.E.P.A. filtration, this system exceeds the EPA mandate for the collection of lead based dust particles. This system is equipped with 3 individually controlled 800 Watt motors, producing 315 CFMs of suction power and is the perfect mix of power and performance. It's all steel frame construction ensures a durable and long lasting body that will hold up under the most extreme working environments. Easy to use push button controls and a side shaker are just a few of the many features that come standard with the Clarke American Sander’s Dust Control System. Clarke American Sander’s Dust Control System makes dust collection simple and safer than most traditional dust containment systems. No matter the project, this system is the right tool for every sanding job.
